About Leonard
I am a third-year Law student at the University of Aberdeen with a strong academic record and a deep commitment to education. For nearly two years, I have worked as a freelance German tutor, helping students of all levels develop their confidence and achieve their goals. During my school years, I often found the rigid, rote learning methods used in most classrooms ineffective and discouraging at times. It wasn’t until I developed my own dynamic and flexible approach to learning that I began to excel. That experience has shaped how I teach today: with an emphasis on understanding over memorisation, and on adapting each lesson to the individual needs and learning style of the student. My background in law has further sharpened my analytical thinking and attention to detail — qualities I bring to every lesson. As an editor of the Aberdeen Student Law Review and a two-time moot court champion, I understand the value of clear communication and structured thinking. I am highly organised, reliable, and passionate about helping students succeed in a way that works for them.
