We gain a language through cultural context and real experience. But what if you can't travel to Chinese speaking region? Make friend with a Chinese! In my class there are no firm rules. I will help to boost your language skills by having conversation and teaching basic Chinese characters, and sharing some culture knowledge! .
I teach language on conversation base. I set topics for class based on individual student and choose the topic they are really interested in it. And I used alphabetical spelling to annotate the pronunciation of Cantonese words as well. This method is very handy to learn how to pronounce precisely.
