My tutoring approach is student-centered and adaptable. I also incorporate spaced repetition and retrieval practice—evidence-based strategies to improve memory and long-term learning. Typical Lesson Length: Lessons typically last 60 minutes, which I’ve found is ideal for maintaining concentration while allowing enough time to cover content thoroughly. However, I’m flexible and can adjust the session length based on the student's needs—for example, shorter 30-minute sessions for younger students or extended 90-minute sessions for exam preparation. Qualifications and Experience: I am a final year medical student at the University of Auckland, with a strong background in biology, chemistry, math, and essay writing. I have over 6 years of tutoring experience across high school and university levels. I’ve tutored students in NCEA science and math, medical school prep, CV and cover letter writing, university applications and interview preparation. I offer tutoring for: High school students (Years 9–13) in science, biology, chemistry, and math. As well as high school students looking to apply for University. University students in health sciences, pre-med subjects, and medicine-related content Adult learners preparing for career changes, entry exams, or personal development in health/science areas. I am also happy to tutor primary school students with anything they need help with.
