I am 22 years old from Lochgelly in Fife, currently working as a Housing Professional at Fife Council which includes studying for my PGDip in Housing Studies at the University of Stirling.
Balancing full-time professional work with postgraduate study demonstrates my organisation, commitment, and strong academic discipline — qualities I encourage in all of my students. My current role requires clear communication, responsibility, and professionalism, which I bring into every tutoring session.

As a 2:1 History graduate from the University of Dundee, I focus on building students’ confidence alongside their academic ability. My teaching is structured but adaptable — I tailor each session to the student’s level, exam board, and specific areas they find challenging.
I place particular emphasis on:
Developing clear, analytical essay writing skills
Structuring arguments effectively
Understanding historiography and interpretation (for senior pupils)
Improving source analysis and exam technique
Building subject knowledge in a manageable, engaging way
I break down complex topics into clear, understandable sections and use worked examples to demonstrate how high-level answers are constructed. For exam students, I incorporate timed practice, model answers, and structured feedback to ensure measurable progress.
Lessons are available both in person in Fife and online, with the same structured and supportive approach in either format.
Typical length of a lesson
Standard lessons are 1 hour, which allows time to cover content, skills development, and feedback.
For students preparing for exams (National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher, GCSE, A-Level), I also offer 90-minute sessions for deeper essay practice and timed exam work.
