About Janet
I provide music education to students with varying backgrounds and skill levels, offering a comprehensive approach that combines theory and practical guidance.
For beginners, I offer foundational lessons, and for advanced players, I focus on improvisation techniques to elevate their musicianship across different instruments. I also specialize in preparing students for music certification exams such as ABRSM, Trinity College of Music, and MUSON graded exams. My lessons include both music theory and practical instruction.
In music theory, I cover the rudiments of music, sight-reading, and transcription. In practical lessons, I teach students how to play a variety of instruments, including saxophone, violin, viola, recorder, and keyboard. I hold a degree in Music from the University of Uyo.
I teach music part-time in schools and offer private lessons for both children and adults. As a musician, I am proficient in playing the violin, viola, cello, recorder, Harmonica, keyboard, saxophone, and guitar.
