About Rodrigo
In the Violin / Rabeca course I usually approach music theory to understand the instrument, nomenclature, notes and musical scales; in some classes we will see a theoretical fright that is linked to the practical part. In the case of the violin, the score reading is essential since we will use some teaching methods and repertoire that require this knowledge. For Rabeca lessons, score reading is optional, but recommended. I also usually use alternative reading methods for beginners (in a few classes we will already be playing some melodies)
Exercises in bow technique, expression, style and scales will be covered each week.
In violin lessons we will use a more technical study repertoire, but you can, during the course, indicate songs of interest to you.
In Rabeca's classes the repertoire is basically popular music, but nothing prevents you from daring and choosing new melodies.

I have a degree in music from the University of the State of Minas Gerais (Licenciatura and Classical Guitar); I started to study violin in the professional course of the Artistic Training Center - CEFAR Palácio das Artes; I spent 5 years studying with the Uruguayan Rodolfo Padilha, who was a specialist in jazz violin and improvisation. I was part of the youth orchestra at the Palácio das Artes. When I bought my first Rabeca I started studying repertoire of popular music and improvisation. So in parallel I followed my classic and popular studies with these two instruments so similar and with such different personalities. With more than 20 years of experience, I am currently a multi-instrumentalist, I work in several shows, and I have been focusing on private instrument lessons.
With academic training and a lot of experience in the education area, I offer the Guitar, Violin, Rabeca and Soundtrack courses in SP.

Rodrigo é um ótimo profissional, possui um vasto conhecimento e uma didática que torna as suas aulas um prazer de experiência. Fizemos aulas por anos, pois as aulas são personalizadas, focadas no desenvolvimento e em trabalhar as dificuldades de forma natural. Todos os encontros são sempre bem animadas e logo você e descobre que seu desenvolvimento fluiu de forma tranquila, embasada, sem conflitos e que conseguiu não só um ótimo professor, mais um amigo para a vida.
Recomendo demais o Rodrigo como professor. Além de ensinar a Rabeca ou o Violino, o professor tem muita sensibilidade para perceber as qualidades e dificuldades do aluno e passar estudos que se encaixem nestas necessidades. Eu cheguei apenas com conhecimentos de violão para tocar um instrumento que até então jamais havia tentado e fiquei muito satisfeito com a evolução. Se você toca outros instrumentos, também vai perceber uma boa evolução na sensibilidade auditiva, além de adquirir novas compreensões do instrumento. Já tive bastantes professores de música e posso dizer que pouquíssimo tem a capacidade de ensinar que o Rodrigo tem... pra além disso, um cara gente boa demais. Tornou-se um grande amigo.
Tenho o privilégio e a honra de ser aluna do Rodrigo. À algum tempo faço aulas de Rabeca com ele, é um ótimo professor, paciente, gentil e tem excelente didática, grande músico/ artista, e ainda sabe fazer um delicioso pão de queijo tipicamente mineiro. O Rodrigo é um professor ótimo! Ele foi o único professor (de muitos) que conseguiu me mostrar sentido na linguagem musical, indo muito além de método. Com ele pude entender o que significava cada coisa na música, com uma integração teoria-prática super legal. Ele cria um ambiente de segurança e generosidade na experimentação de cada um no grupo. Recomendadíssimo!
