About Heinrich
I have taught more than 300 students in various communities in Cape Town over a period of 17 years theoretical as well as practical aspects of instruments including piano, organ and woodwind instruments. In addition, I have trained numerous community wind bands and have collaborated with numerous solo instrumentalists on local music productions. At present I am the music director of the number one community wind band in South Africa which has members from the age of 6 up until the age of 58. My passion however lies in the theoretical aspect of music as I believe that a complete musician needs to understand and appreciate at all times why, how and when to perform.

I believe that learning should start from the first moment we greet until the last second we bid each other farewell. I do not believe in wasting time and money as music is something which needs respect through every beat and rest. I typically cover a grade within 4 months as I believe you and I should put in the same effort at all times to make sure you reach your full potential. At the end of each grade an internal examination will be conducted followed by an optional external examination. My teaching method is relaxed with a tinge of humor and strictness to ensure that the music 'discipline' aspect is never neglected. My lessons are suited for all learners (beginners, intermediates, and in exceptional cases advanced students) of all ages 7 to endless.
