About Andy
I am an experienced studio producer with over 30 years in the industry. I have designed and built more than a dozen recording studios in the UK and the USA and hold a degree in Music Engineering Technology. My training includes mentorship from Michael Pounds, a former student of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), and studio acoustic design guidance from John Storyk, designer of Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland Studios. Alongside production work, I am an active musician, singer, guitarist, and composer for the industrial metal band Chasing Ophelia.

I have been teaching professionally for 23 years for people age 12 through to adult. My lessons are for people with no experience on up to people with several years of experience who want to tighten up their skills or learn about the new developments in technology. Online lessons typically last an hour or 2 and in person lessons in Signal House Studios in Bury St Edmunds tend to go 2 to 4 hours depending on the subject. I prefer more of a hands-on approach with constant discussion and interaction with my students to make sure that you understand and learn.
