About Simon
I am a music graduate of the University of Hull with my own private tuition business. Over the last year, I have had experience teaching pupils to play the piano and clarinet, as well teaching them to understand music theory. I teach from complete beginners up to grade 5 standard. I am very adaptable when it comes to teaching those who just wish to learn for fun and those who wish to take grade exams. The pupils I have who have taken grade exams have all passed and I have also played the piano accompaniment for a pupil of mine who was taking clarinet exam.
I have experience teaching children as young as 5 years old, up to adult learners. I have been DBS checked within the last couple years. I am willing to travel to clients and can also host lessons in my studio where I have both an upright Yamaha piano and also an electronic Casio keyboard. The keyboard is hooked up to a microphone and the Ableton Live 9 DAW on my laptop, so I am very happy to give some lessons on how to use Ableton and other types of music technology software. I also have skype and I am able to give lessons through video call.
