About Jeyda
Having danced all of my life, my horizons broadened 3 years ago when I discovered poi in India. For 3 months I was taught by the most incredible teacher, who passed on his genius teaching techniques to me, so I could do the same. And here I am :)
Since learning how to poi, what I have enjoyed more than performing, is teaching my loved ones. The moment I hear someone say ' I'll never be able to do that', whether it be someone I've known for a while or a stranger I've just met, is the moment I give them all of my attention for them to learn. The reward then comes when I see the joy and accomplishment in their faces as they swing the poi around, astonished and impressed at what they are performing. This look of amazement is usually followed by 'Jeyda you're a really good teacher, you should totally do this'.
So after 3 years, I have decided to follow their advice and offer poi lessons for beginners, either 1-1 or group lessons.

I teach in a way that is a lot more fluid than learning steps. By teaching you how to feel the movement of the Poi, you will gradually be able to move as one with the poi, almost as if they were limbs. You will soon find that your arms do very little, you simply allow the poi to flow in sync with yourself.
My sessions last for 45 minutes
