About Lorie
Hi! I'm Lorie, a certified Montessori & TEFL English teacher with over 20 years of international teaching experience. I've taught children from the Middle East, Asia, and beyond, helping them gain confidence, fluency, and a love for English. I decided to become a teacher because I believe every child can enjoy learning and succeed when lessons are personalized, engaging, and connected to real-world experiences. My Montessori background taught me the power of student-centered learning, and my TEFL training helps me make English accessible and fun for young learners of all levels. I'm passionate about helping children overcome struggles in reading, speaking, or pronunciation and watch them grow not just academically, but also in confidence and curiosity. My lessons are interactive, story-based, and student-centered, designed to help children speak confidently, improve reading comprehension, and enjoy learning English!
Here's a typical lesson:
1. Warm-Up & Conversation - short speaking activity to build confidence and pronunciation
