About Faith
I have recently graduated from Exeter University with an undergraduate degree in French and Mandarin Chinese. Learning languages for me is extremely important to understand other cultures and different ways of thinking, however I understand that it is not always easy! I would therefore like to support students in their language learning journey, to bridge gaps in their knowledge with 1-1 lessons and improve their confidence in reading, writing, listening and speaking in Mandarin.

As a previous languages student I understand students' needs and potential difficulties when learning languages. To ensure you are getting the most out of your lessons I firstly have a discussion with you and conduct a short assessment to identify your specific knowledge gaps. I then tailor the lessons to improve these areas, as well as ensuring the content aligns with the specifications of your GCSE or A-level exam board. My 45-60 minute lessons are interactive, focusing on recapping tricky class content, followed by practising grammar questions, reading comprehension, translation and speaking, enabling me to track your progress and adapt lessons accordingly. I ensure that students not only bridge gaps in their knowledge, but feel more confident going into their exams. My lessons are aimed at beginners or GCSE/A-level Mandarin students.
