As a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with an MFA in Film & Television, my teaching approach is rooted in real-world application, creative exploration, and individual empowerment. I combine structured, hands-on instruction with open-ended creative prompts to build both technical skills and artistic voice. I often use scene breakdowns, script analysis, editing exercises, and real-world case studies from film and television to ground concepts in practice.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson might begin with a quick review or screening (scene, script, or clip), followed by a guided exercise (e.g. writing a short scene, assembling a rough cut, analyzing structure), then a discussion or critique. Each session ends with a takeaway assignment or next step; be it a scene to write, a shot list to plan, or an edit to revise.
