About Shayan
I’m a final-year medical student in London with extensive experience teaching anatomy, clinical skills, pharmacology and other medical subjects. I’ve completed over 100 hours of teaching across multiple healthcare disciplines and employed as a senior anatomy demonstrator, clinical tutor and OSCE tutor.
I have been invited to teach over multiple years at Imperial College London and have delivered my own teaching workshops at conferences in Kings College.
What makes my teaching effective is my focus on understanding rather than memorisation. I break complex topics down into clear foundations, then build towards clinical application and exam-style questions. I adapt each session to the student’s level and goals, whether that is understanding a difficult concept, preparing for exams or improving OSCE performance.
I have achieved distinctions in my 2nd, 3rd and 4th year medical school exams and received the Herbert Allingham Prize for achieving the highest surgery exam score in my year. I also have experience tutoring medical school applicants and have mentored students who successfully gained admission to UK medical schools.
My aim is to make difficult topics feel straightforward, structured and manageable while helping students develop the confidence to apply their knowledge independently.
