About Lucas
I’m Lucas, originally from Toulouse in the south of France. I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and I’ve worked as a production engineer on an aircraft assembly line.
Math came easily to me, so my job as a tutor is to slow down and find the exact step where it stopped making sense for you. I explain things visually and I don’t move on until it’s actually clear.
Outside work I climb, surf and play guitar, and I’m currently based in the Byron Bay area.

Most students don’t struggle with maths itself, they’re missing one earlier step that was never properly explained, and everything after it feels impossible.
My approach is practical. I show where a formula comes from and what it’s used for before asking anyone to memorise it.
Coming from engineering, I can nearly always tie an abstract concept to something physical: a force, a shape, a machine, a rate of change.
