About Venkat

As an IIT Kharagpur alumnus with a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University at Albany, New York, I bring a strong analytical foundation to teaching Math. Having been a school topper at Vidya Mandir, Mylapore, Chennai, I understand the importance of building strong fundamentals early. As a TEDx speaker and mentor to 500+ students, I have worked with learners from school through college, gaining an appreciation of how differently students learn and what helps them progress.

Why does Math become difficult for so many students?
Often, the problem isn't a lack of ability, but concepts that were never fully understood, gaps in the basics, or a loss of confidence along the way.
My own academic journey began at Vidya Mandir, Mylapore, Chennai, where I was a school topper, consistently achieving top marks through strong conceptual understanding and disciplined learning. I went on to do my undergraduate from IIT Kharagpur and a Master's degree in Computer Science from University at Albany, NY.
As a TEDx speaker and mentor to 500+ students, I have worked with learners from school through college, gaining an appreciation of how differently students learn and what helps them progress.
My approach is to identify where a student is struggling, explain concepts in a way that makes sense to them, and build understanding step by step. Through guided problem-solving, worksheets, puzzles, regular assessments and individual attention, I aim to help students strengthen their foundations, improve their performance and become confident, independent learners.
I teach Classes 5–9 across CBSE, ICSE and Tamil Nadu State Board, in English, Tamil or Hindi. Online classes are available via Zoom/Google Meet, with offline classes in Mylapore and nearby areas of Chennai.
A free demo class is available.
