About Athira
Hello! I am Athira, and I am dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential in mathematics and computer science. Holding a master's degree (M.Tech) in computer science and currently completing the final stages of my Ph.D. in computer science and mathematics modeling, I bring a deep, rigorous understanding of these subjects into every lesson. I specialize in teaching students from Grades 1 through 12, carefully adapting my methods to suit each developmental stage—whether that means building playful foundational logic for younger children or breaking down complex analytical problems for high schoolers. My classes are structured around a proven "I do, We do, You do" framework, ensuring that students shift smoothly from watching a demonstration to confidently solving problems on their own. By fostering a patient, low-stress, and engaging environment, I ensure that my students do not just memorize rules, but truly master the concepts. I look forward to partnering with you on your academic journey and building the skills and confidence you need to succeed.

My teaching philosophy balances direct instruction with interactive, student-centered practice to make complex topics highly accessible. I structure my classes intentionally, beginning with a quick warm-up and review, moving into a clear presentation of new concepts, and concluding with guided and independent practice to ensure mastery. My methods rely heavily on the "I do, We do, You do" framework, using real-world examples and open-ended questions to trigger critical thinking rather than relying on one-way lecturing. What sets my style apart is my adaptability, patience, and ability to break down abstract concepts into digestible steps within a welcoming, low-stress environment where students feel safe to make mistakes. This structured yet flexible approach is highly effective for a wide range of learners, from school-aged children building foundational habits to adults mastering complex new skills.
