About Emma
I am currently studying Mathematics at Radboud University. Last year I obtained my gymnasium diploma with, among other things, Mathematics B and Mathematics D (depth on normal mathematics) in my package (NT/NG). I completed Mathematics B with a 9 and Mathematics D with an 8.
I was on the tutoring list of my former high school for several years, so I have a lot of experience with private tutoring. So far, I have the most experience with students from VMBO, lower VWO, and Mathematics B upper VWO.
I also work at an educational support company for, among other things, homework guidance, tutoring and exam training, so I have experience in supervising homework classes and providing homework guidance.

My way of teaching usually goes like this: the student in question tells what chapter/topic they are working on. I always ask if there are specific questions, I will answer those first. After that I go through all the theory briefly. Then I usually do assignments together with the student. Here I can once again explain the theory step by step (but with examples from the assignments). When doing assignments together, I can also see where the student is still going wrong and give extra explanation about it.

Emma geeft mij nu al een tijdje bijles en ik ben van plan dit om dit door te laten gaan. Inmiddels zijn mijn cijfers voldoende, maar ik leer nog steeds veel van haar. Ze is geduldig en neemt de tijd voor je.
Ik ben echt veel beter geworden in wiskunde dankzij Emma's hulp. Nog steeds vind ik veel onderdelen moeilijk, maar Emma weet me er altijd doorheen te helpen.
Emma heeft me goed geholpen met wiskunde. Ze legt heel duidelijk uit en weet er zelf veel van, wat helpt tijdens de uitleg en als ik vastloop in een opdracht. Ze is erg geduldig en aardig, waardoor ik ook fouten durfde te maken.
Emma geeft op een hele fijne en rustige manier bijles. Dankzij haar heeft mijn zoon (15) zijn wiskunde gemiddelde van een 4.8 opgehoogd naar een 6.5! Ook is ze erg flexibel en heeft ze goede communicatievaardigheden.
