About Arsanious
I am a dedicated mathematics educator with a strong academic background in both mathematics and physics. My teaching philosophy centers on simplifying complex mathematical concepts, fostering analytical thinking, and helping students build confidence in problem-solving. With experience in both one-on-one tutoring and academic studies at the university level, I tailor lessons to meet individual student needs while preparing them for high-level examinations such as the Matsec A-level.

My approach to teaching mirrors the way I learn: I put myself in the students’ shoes, remembering that tutors were once learners themselves. I follow a pedagogical method centered on gradual understanding and active engagement.
I start by introducing concepts in simple, clear terms, ensuring students become familiar and comfortable with them. I then move to demonstration, applying the theory to solve a problem step by step, explaining my thought process along the way. I make sure students understand the logical flow of each step, rather than just memorizing procedures.
Once a solution is complete, I encourage students to view it as a whole, seeing how each part contributes to the final answer. I then present similar or related problems—sometimes disguised to appear different—so students learn to recognize the underlying techniques and thought processes, rather than relying on rote methods.
Through continuous practice and reflection, students gradually build a mental toolkit of strategies that can be applied across a variety of problems. My ultimate goal is to foster deep understanding, because when concepts come naturally, memorization becomes unnecessary. In this way, I help students develop not just knowledge, but intuition and problem-solving instinct that will serve them in all areas of learning.
Lesson Structure...................(A)
i) Typical length: 2 hours per session
ii) Frequency: Ideally at least twice a week in the first year for A-level students
iii) Lessons combine explanation, demonstration, guided practice, and independent problem-solving.
Qualifications & Experience.................(B)
i) Experienced tutor with a track record of teaching A-level students and intermediate learners.
ii) Have taught individuals aged 16–18 preparing for A-level exams as well as adult learners (up to 40 years old) attempting A-levels later in life.
iii) Focused on building both conceptual understanding and practical problem-solving skills, adapting to the pace and learning style of each student.
