As a tutor, my main goal is to help students succeed and reach their full potential. I understand that each student is unique and may have different learning styles, so I strive to adapt my teaching methods to best suit their individual needs. My name is Caleb, I'm a Maths graduate from the University of Exeter, and I've been tutoring for about a year.
I teach Maths up to A-level, and english and sciences up to GCSE. I usually do lessons for an hour, though I'm flexible. I mostly focus on problems and explanations, but do sometimes use activities and presentations if I feel they'd be useful.
The way I teach is, I research the student's curriculum first to understand what they're expected to know. From there, if the student has any topics or questions that they're struggling with in particular I'll go over those, filling in any gaps in their knowledge in the process. Otherwise, I can introduce and teach topics from their curriculum, or anything they're interested in that's tangentially related.
