My teaching methodology is based on ensuring a thorough understand of underlying principles to allow for problem solving in exams, rather than just memorisation and exam technique (although these form a part of exam preparation as well). I encourage independent learning outside of lessons, although provide instruction where needed to ensure any independent learning is valuable.

Ian was a very good Tutor. We looked mainly at Maths and Further Maths questions when starting out on a new topic, or harder questions after gaining an understanding of a topic.
Ian was a huge help during my Maths A level. Explained everything incredibly well, broke it down and made it seem remarkably simple and clear. Would definitely recommend him!
