About Sharmistha
I am a highly experienced and passionate educator with over 25 years of teaching experience across a wide range of year levels and learning abilities. As a multiskilled, qualified teacher currently working in a primary school in Auckland, I have dedicated my career to helping children develop confidence, resilience, and a genuine love of learning.
Throughout my teaching career, I have supported students with diverse learning needs, helping them strengthen their skills in English and Mathematics while building the confidence needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. I believe that every child can achieve success when learning is tailored to their individual strengths, interests, and pace.
My tutoring sessions are engaging, supportive, and personalized. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and developing independence in their learning. Whether a student needs additional support, wants to strengthen foundational skills, or is looking for extension and enrichment opportunities, I work closely with them to help them reach their full potential.
I pride myself on building strong relationships with both students and families and maintaining open communication to ensure progress and success. My goal is not only to improve academic achievement but also to increase self-belief, motivation, and a lifelong enthusiasm for learning.
