While tutoring a student struggling with algebra, I noticed they were highly visual and easily overwhelmed by abstract equations. Instead of continuing with traditional textbook methods, I created colour-coded diagrams and used real-world analogies, like comparing solving for 'x' to finding a missing piece in a puzzle.
