I am Ukelia Pearson, a Master’s prepared Early Childhood Educator and Ph.D. candidate in Curriculum and Instruction with a passion for helping students achieve academic success. With classroom experience as a first-grade teacher and a strong foundation in early childhood education, I bring knowledge, patience, and research-based instructional practices to every learning experience.
My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that every student has the ability to grow when provided with the right support, encouragement, and learning opportunities. I am a Master’s prepared Early Childhood Educator and Ph.D. candidate in Curriculum and Instruction with classroom experience as a first-grade teacher. My tutoring approach focuses on helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and develop a love for learning through engaging, research-based instruction.
I specialize in supporting students in grades K–3 with reading, phonics, literacy development, writing, foundational math skills, homework support, and academic enrichment. My lessons incorporate structured literacy strategies, explicit instruction, hands-on activities, guided practice, and individualized learning plans based on each student’s needs.
