About Seyoung
Hello, I'm Seyoung Oh who is a composer based in Glasgow, Scotland, originally from Seoul, South Korea. I've graduated from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Composition in 2024, and since graduation I've been continuously having commissions with professional ensembles in Scotland and in the UK such as London Sinfonietta, the Scottish Ensemble, the Hebrides Ensemble etc. I'm also very interested in sharing my knowledge and helping young pupils to learn the joy of music theory and composing :) please leave a message if you want to discuss further.! In general I'll follow the ABRSM music theory grades materials, but the materials will be accompanied with the actual music examples from the classical repertoire from various periods to help students' understanding of musical concepts. As the lessons proceed, I will be able to notice the gap in knowledge from students which then we will work on more so that the student can feel confident and a sense of achievement. :) If you've been learning instruments for a while but not quite sure about the theory side of things, I can help you with it as well as helping with achieving grade 5 theory exam if you need it in order to proceed to higher grades in practical exams.!
