Stephanie has been my son's piano teacher for over 10 years. She has been so patient and accommodating in helping to foster musicianship and skill in my 17 year old Autistic son. I went to Long & McQuade as a vocal student, thinking that I would just take some classes for a short period of time in order to achieve my goals and then continue on my own. This was definitely not the case. Instead, I took lessons from Stephanie for 9 years! She has taught me so much about what I can do with my voice, and has challenged me to go further than I thought was possible for myself. She would encourage me to sing different styles of songs to make my feel comfortable with the different things I can do, and hit notes I thought I couldn't. Because of this, I am more confident with what I can do and I am more confident in taking risks while singing (e.g., runs, ad libs, etc.) I can definitely say I've achieved my goals, and then some!

I worked with Stephanie primarily to create recordings for the pre-audition process at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Stephanie has been a fantastic vocal and piano teacher for my family for two years. Remote sessions made it easy to accommodate lessons without driving or waiting for lessons to complete. Stephanie provides a solid balance between encouragement and firmness and got my kid excited about studying more musical instruments at school.

I've greatly enjoyed my vocal lessons with Stephanie. She listened attentively to my singing goals and helped devise exercises to help me work on my vocal range and quality. Stephanie helped to find songs that would work well and would result in earlier successes, with lots of pointers for adding interest to my singing. Best of all, it was a blast singing along with her strong and beautiful voice to push me along!

Stephanie is our vocal teacher and coach for our 15 year old twins for 3 years now. The improvement and development in our girls confidence and vocal ability has grown tremendously. I originally went to Stephanie because I was trying to sing a lot of hard rock songs but I losing my voice immediately after.

In our first lesson she realized I was forcing my chest voice into the higher falsetto range and helped me find what I now know is the mixed or middle voice. She has really helped me sing without strain and stopped my voice from breaking in songs where I have to go up to the head voice and down.

I came looking for vocal lessons but got a mentor and a friend in the process. Stephanie is an award winning vocalist who knows her stuff, she got me out of my comfort zone and really customized lesson plans to address my needs.

After a few lessons with Stephanie I really feel more confident and motivated to pursue this passion past what I thought was possible. I will performing at my first open mic in a few weeks and never imagined those words coming out of my mouth. She really took an interest in me and I didn’t want to let her down so I always practiced before lessons and made sure to come ready.
