Hi, I'm Marisa! I'm a literacy, reading, and ESL tutor with 6 years of experience working with K–5 students both online and in school settings. I currently work as a substitute teacher, which keeps me closely connected to what children are learning in the classroom every day.
I hold a Master of Science in Foreign Language Education (TESOL track) and a Bachelor of Arts in English, both from Florida International University. My academic background, combined with hands-on classroom experience, gives me a well-rounded understanding of how young learners develop language and literacy skills.
I'm passionate about working with children — especially those navigating English as a second language. I know firsthand how transformative it is when a child finds their footing in reading and communication.
