About Cindy
Hi there! I am a 3rd year Computer Science student at Trinity College Dublin and a Generation Google Scholarship recipient for 'Women in Computer Science in Ireland'. I have over 1 year experience teaching programming to young people aged 8-17 years at 2 coding clubs and have attended Hackathons at Microsoft, Google and Amazon. The goal of these lessons is to leave you feeling confident in your programming skills and comfortable building projects! This starts by ensuring a strong understanding of programming fundamentals; variables, data types, control statements, functions & debugging etc. Once you're comfortable in these areas we'll move on to Object-Oriented programming & Data structures.
The Lessons will be tailored to your individual needs & goals, and are available in Python or Java (Python being the recommended choice for beginners).
I believe the best way to learn programming is through a practical approach, so expect lots of hands-on exercises and cool projects! These are also a great way to build up your portfolio while learning ;)
