About Alexander
I am a marketing student and DBS certified student ambassador at Goldsmiths university. I do freelance work as a web-developer, and love pursuing photography and creative writing in my free-time. Professionally, I have worked as a search engine marketer at Wayfair Berlin before uni, and volunteered as a childcare worker for the German Red Cross. My native languages are German and Russian, however, English is by now my strongest and my language of choice. I speak French as an additional foreign language to conversational fluency/B2 level.

At first, I get to know the student by recognising the direction that they would like to head in, such as developing simple portfolio websites or writing own code from scratch.
After identifying their targets, I set mini-goals along the way to learn the different building blocks necessary for the project. My lessons are mostly project-based, that is, to give the student a feeling of ownership and responsibility.
I try to be as practical as possible, and try to reduce theory to a bare minimum.
As homework, I employ a mix of practical tasks, reflections on current progress and theoretical tasks, such as learning the building blocks for the next lesson.
