I am a Malaysian who recently graduated from UCL. Malay is my native language, and I am confident to teach from grammar to intonation, and maybe even some dialects once advanced!

About Syafiqah
Learning new languages is a way to connect with others. Once you're fluent, it feels like a superpower - hanging out in Malaysian societies, being able to bite back at the mak cik bawangs during Eid, etc. Imagine being in an elevator with a bunch of Malaysians, and they're spilling tea in Malay thinking you don't understand... and then just before you part ways, you hit them with a punchy sentence (in Malay!) that shows you understood every word they said ;)

Someone once told me that language immersion is the best way to learn a new language, and I agree!
For beginners, we will start with some basic conversations - as if you're travelling to Malaysia on a week-long holiday. As we progress, we will focus more on grammar, prefixes, suffixes, the differences between formal and casual words, and sprinkle some idioms.
We Malaysians have a lot of inside jokes ;) To make you feel like a true Malaysian, I can teach you some of our vocal stims! It will be a fun activity!
Learning challenges the brain a lot, and because of that, the length of our lesson is totally up to you! However my basic price would be £14 per hour :)
