About Gasthoori
I'm an ACCA affiliate in the tax field, but I started out just like many students, struggling to understand accounting in high school and even through college.
I know how confusing accounting can feel at first, especially when everything moves fast in class, and nothing seems to “click”. I also consider myself someone who learns slowly, so I understand the frustration of trying your best but still feeling lost.
That’s one of the main reasons I started teaching is to make accounting easier for students who feel the same way I did. I want to explain things in a simple, patient way and help students build understanding step by step, until it finally makes sense

My teaching approach is centered on helping students truly understand accounting concepts rather than memorizing formats and procedures. I believe that once students understand the "why" behind accounting, they become more confident and can tackle examination questions independently.
I use a step-by-step teaching methodology, breaking down complex topics into simple and manageable concepts. Each lesson begins with a review of fundamental principles, followed by worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I also relate accounting concepts to real-life situations to make learning more engaging and easier to understand.
My lessons are particularly suitable for students who find accounting challenging, are struggling to keep up in class, or wish to strengthen their foundation before progressing to more advanced topics. I focus on identifying each student's weaknesses and adapting my teaching style to match their learning pace.
Each lesson is usually 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the student’s pace. I adjust the class based on how they learn, no pressure, just steady progress.
Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable learning from mistakes.
My lessons are primarily designed for Form 4 students studying Prinsip Perakaunan.
My goal is simple: to help students move from confusion to confidence in accounting through clear guidance, consistent practice, and exam-focused preparation.
