About Xena
With 11 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have successfully guided around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them build both technical skills and confidence. My teaching approach is student-focused and flexible, as I understand that every learner has different needs and goals.
I focus on important techniques such as posture, bowing, rhythm, intonation, and tone production, ensuring that students develop a strong foundation. I emphasize posture, bowing technique, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and musical expression while encouraging creativity and interpretation. Lessons include real-life examples such as performing favorite pieces, practicing with accompaniment, and understanding music in everyday life to make learning practical and relatable.
I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to create a motivating, structured, and enjoyable environment where students progress confidently and enjoy their musical journey.
