About Jessie
Hi I'm Jessie! After living my whole life around the New Orleans area I made a Covid move in 2021 and am happily living in the mountains of North Carolina now.
My musical journey with the harp began as a senior in high school with a 22-string lap harp that was a graduation gift from my parents. I quickly fell in love with the instrument and moved on quickly to the pedal harp. Within a year and a half I was auditioning for LSU's School of Music where I received my Bachelor's degree in 2007.
I have been happily performing as a freelancing harpist since graduation and also providing music lessons to both children and adults. As a late bloomer on the harp myself I encourage everyone that it is never too late to begin to learn to play. The harp has its unique challenges as an instrument to be sure, but is so immensely rewarding to play.
I think everyone should play the harp!

Jessie began her musical studies on a 22-string lever harp as a high school senior and quickly fell in love with the instrument. She transitioned after a year and a half to the pedal harp and was accepted into LSU’s School of Music where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2007.
