As an actress I have worked in film, radio,television and theatre ;French and Saunders, The Bill, Casualty, Holby City,The Ronnie Ancona Show ,The Catherine Tate show,The Vivienne Vyle show, Outnumbered, Bristol Old Vic, Birmingham Rep, Stratford East, Hackney Empire, Manchester Exchange, RSC, Royal Court, the National Theatre and West End.
I have been fortunate enough to work with some incredible directors and writers; Film-' Les Miserables', with multi award winning director, Tom Hooper, 'Lille Soldat', with multi award winning director,Annette K Olesen,'Gambit', with multi award winning director, Michael Hoffman and 'Taking Stock' with multi award winning director , Maeve Murphy.Theatre- 'Trade' directed by Sacha Wares written by the Olivier award winning Debbie Tucker Green, Bruce Norris' multi award winning 'clybourne park' at the wyndhams theatre in london's west end directed by Olivier award winner Dominic Cooke, 'Fear' with multi award winning director & writer Dominic Savage at The Bush Theatre , 'Damned by despair' at The Royal National Theatre, directed by Olivier award winner Bijan Sheibani, adapted by Frank McGuinness','Blurred Lines' at the National Theatre, directed by Carrie Cracknell ( A Dolls House) and written by Nick Payne ('Constellations') and 'Medea' at the NT.

I have just finished filming a new 10 episode drama for SKY.
I am also a singer songwriter and have worked with various artists (Peter Andre, Eric Clapton, Ultra Nate, Courtney Pine, Martha Reeves, Blue, Ben Onono,Terry Callier , Lee Scratch Perry ...).

I trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as an actress.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I mentor several actors & singers and have worked with many international young actors (French, Swedish, Portugese, Argentinian Lithuanian & Korean). Through dedicated hard work, many of my students have been successful in gaining entry to drama schools which has given me immense joy.
The key elements for me are, cultivating courage,confidence and the ability to see ourselves as artists.
I consider it a privilege to see the flower of a student's life open....

I Draw on the imaginative processes which have inspired and shaped me as a professional .My students include those who are preparing for drama school auditions ( an integral part of that process can be finding the right piece ,so that they can feel very confident), beginners , who are seeking an introduction to acting, professionals wanting to refresh their work, and those wanting to act for fun and/or build confidence ,enabling all to have a wide pallet to choose from.
My tutoring will cover,voice, text analysis,creating a character,objectives, page to performance ,audition pieces: monologues,duologues, mastering nerves & confidence.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am a professional actress and singer.
I am on the audition panel for The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama,which i absolutely LOVE being a part of.I also teach and mentor aspiring actors and singers.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £75 per hour and extra if I have to travel.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in central london; 7 minutes from Euston station and 5 minutes from Kings Cross St.pancras.(Camden town is also very near and many buses from central london go directly to Euston and kings cross) I can travel to a student's home if it's not possible for them to travel.
- When are you available?
My teaching times are quite flexible.Daytime and evenings

I teach ages15 upwards.

Perfect! Lorna Brown is a fantastic teacher who truly tailored her teaching to my circumstances as a mature student. This helped me prepare successfully for a number of U.K. drama school auditions where I received offers to attend postgraduate acting programmes. This also gave me the confidence to setup a not-for-profit acting company during the peak of the COVID-19 lockdown, which provided new talent with a virtual platform to showcase their artistic prowess when in-person performances were not possible. Additionally, working with Lorna also helped me professionally by honing my communication skills in a business setting. Aside from all that, I found Lorna to be a wonderful person to work with. She is personable, honest, and encouraging in her coaching style. I would recommend Lorna to anyone thinking or taking acting and/or professional communication coaching classes as she is the best.

Lorna is the most inspiring, encouraging and talented teacher I have ever had. I found that Lorna really took the time to understand me as both a person and as an actress. Not only has she encouraged my strengths, she has also challenged me in my weaknesses, finding keys to unlock any creative blocks I have in my work. What I love most about Lorna's lessons is the fact that whilst she is a consummate professional and expert on the physical and technical aspects of singing, she also deals with the singer as a whole the spiritual, mental and the emotional being. In the year or so that I've been seeing Lorna I went from being somebody with no training or confidence, only a desire to act and a feeling that I might be able to, to being accepted at RADA. I'm quite sure that I would never have done this had I not found her. Lorna is a natural teacher in that she knows when to push you to the very limits of what you're capable of (and she will!) and when to support you.
Lorna is an excellent teacher. Her warm, understanding and reassuring approach has given me a safe environment to explore and develop myself as an artist. My time with Lorna completely transformed my acting.I have had multiple offers at top drama schools this year. I hope to continue working with Lorna for years to come and feel very lucky and proud to call her my mentor.
