About Alfie
I live and work in Manchester and I've turned my political passion into action. I work for an MP in their constituency, but I also get the opportunity to work in Parliament from time to time. This means that I am uniquely placed to teach you about the intricacies of the British Parliament. It also means that I keep incredibly up to date with the day-to-day of politics in the UK - it's my job after all!
But I also understand that the way that politics works in the real world and what we are taught about in politics does not always match up. Thankfully, however, I have a first-class undergraduate qualification in politics and international relations as well as a distinction-level master's qualification - both from the University of Manchester! This means I will be able to teach you both the theory and practice of politics, making you well prepared for any exam question.

We live in a highly political world - but that doesn't mean that we can't still have fun whilst learning about it!
My classes will be fun and engaging. I will encourage my students to keep a log of the week's news and political updates so that we can apply them to exam questions, place them within a historical context, and achieve the highest mark when answering exam questions. We will look in depth at political ideologies and apply them to the functioning of US and UK politics to see how ideas continue to shape the world around us.
I have a passion for learning - it's why I continued my education all the way to postgraduate level! But now I'm looking to help the next wave of political geeks like myself develop their interest and excel in their studies.
