I have worked as a tutor for children with ABA difficulties and a law mentor to sixth form students, my approach to tutoring is tailored to accommodate the individual needs and learning styles of each student while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I employ visual teaching methods and to enhance comprehension and engagement. I utilize structured and repetitive activities to reinforce learning objectives and facilitate skill acquisition. Additionally, I incorporate positive reinforcement and praise to motivate students and build their confidence. For sixth-form students studying GCSE and A-Level subjects, I focus on developing critical thinking skills, exam preparation strategies, and analytical reasoning through interactive discussions, practice questions, and exam-style assessments. I encourage active participation and independent learning, fostering a collaborative and empowering learning experience.
Typical Length of a Lesson: Lessons typically range from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student's learning objectives, and what they would like to cover during each session. I structure lessons to include a balance of instruction, practice, and review to maximise learning outcomes and maintain engagement throughout the session.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: As a private tutor, I have experience working with children with ABA difficulties, providing one-on-one support and implementing tailored teaching strategies to address their unique learning needs. Additionally, as a law mentor to sixth form students, I have assisted students preparing to submit their University applications to study Law, offering guidance on subject-specific content and study skills. My qualifications include a law degree with a 2.1 classification. I have obtained the following A-levels: History (A grade), Biology (A grade) and Maths (B grade). Additionally, I have 12 GCSEs grades A*-B, which provides a strong foundation in analytical thinking, research skills, and academic writing.
