About Mylene
Hello! I’m Teacher Mylene Ocon, a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) graduate and Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) from the Philippines.
I am passionate about working with children and helping them understand their lessons in a simple, enjoyable, and meaningful way. I believe that every child has their own learning pace and strengths, so I aim to create a patient, supportive, and comfortable learning environment.
I can tutor Elementary Mathematics, English, Filipino, Science, and other elementary-level subjects. I can also help students with homework, assignments, quizzes, and exam preparation.
My teaching experience includes my teaching practice during my education degree, where I developed skills in lesson planning, classroom management, explaining concepts, preparing learning activities, and adapting lessons to students' needs.

My lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, patient, and personalized according to each student's needs and learning pace.
I offer tutoring for elementary students in Mathematics, English, Filipino, and Science. I can also help students with homework, assignments, quizzes, and exam preparation.
Before starting, I like to assess what the student already knows and identify the areas where they need more support. I then adjust my lessons and use simple explanations, examples, guided practice, questions, exercises, and visual materials to make the topic easier to understand.
For online lessons, I can use PowerPoint presentations, visual materials, interactive activities, and practice exercises to keep students engaged. I encourage students to participate, ask questions, and explain their answers rather than simply memorizing them.
