About Henry
I have experience with tutoring students with a range of attainment levels and motivations, whether that be aiming for a 4 or a 9, or for a C or an A*.
My academic experience was with A Levels and GCSEs where I attained top grades, namely A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics as well as 11 9s at GCSE level. A Level Maths and Further Maths were with Edexcel (where I took FP1 and FP2 Further Maths modules) and Physics was with OCR.
My teaching experience has been in A Level, GCSE and KS3 Maths tutoring and in teaching competitive programming with Python. Both sets of students achieved their academic and extracurricular goals in those fields. I also have experience in writing GCSE and A Level-style exam questions for a company in STEM topics areas.
Currently I am studying Computer Science at Durham University where I will be studying modules in Artifical Intelligence, Data Science and Cryptography.

I like to let my students think and guide them to finding an answer themselves. A lesson will focus on one of three things:
- Exam preparation and exam technique;
- Building a bulletproof understanding of a topic, or;
- Learning how to apply knowledge to unfamiliar scenarios.
If I set work to do during the week, it will be questions constructed to test any areas that require improvement or to imitate exam-style questions that have caught students out in previous years.
