  • Tell us more about your subject. How did your interest in this field first develop?

Sanskrit is not merely a language; it is the very soul of India. It serves as a repository of invaluable knowledge, encompassing the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, epics, and philosophical treatises. Since childhood, my interest lay in understanding Sanskrit shlokas (verses), mantras, and their esoteric meanings. Gradually, this interest evolved into a dedicated spiritual practice. When I began to delve into the deep philosophical dimensions of the Upanishads and the Gita, I realized that this knowledge not only provides direction to one's personal life but is also of immense utility to all of humanity.
  • Who or what inspired you to become a teacher? And why?

I drew my inspiration to teach from my own mentors and teachers, who did not confine knowledge solely to themselves but regarded the act of sharing it as the true essence of Dharma (righteous duty). When I observed the deep curiosity regarding Indian culture and Sanskrit—even among people abroad—I felt it was my duty to disseminate this knowledge on a global scale. It was this very sentiment that led me toward online teaching.
  • How does your work benefit society?

In today's fast-paced and stressful world, the wisdom contained within Sanskrit literature and the Upanishads offers mental peace, inner balance, and a true perspective on life. Through this knowledge, my students—whether they hail from India or from abroad—learn not only the language itself but also the art of living. This fosters cultural dialogue and cultivates a deeper understanding of, and respect for, Indian culture across the globe.
  • If you had to choose a role model for your work, whom would you choose? And why?

My ideals are the ancient sages and seers who selflessly created and disseminated knowledge. They never worked for the sake of fame or personal gain, but rather dedicated their efforts to the welfare of society. It is this very spirit that inspires me to make knowledge simple and accessible, thereby enabling me to reach and benefit as many people as possible.
  • Apart from teaching, what are your other interests?

In addition to teaching, I thoroughly enjoy studying classical texts, practicing meditation and yoga, and writing on topics related to Indian culture. Furthermore, I find it immensely fascinating to interact with students from various countries and gain an understanding of their cultures.
  • Do you have any amusing anecdotes involving a student or related to your professional life?

There is a five-year-old boy from the USA who is my online student. On one occasion, he went to the California airport with his father to pick up his grandfather. When he welcomed his grandfather at the airport by reciting the phrase, "Pitamaha tubhyam aham namami" (Grandfather, I bow down to you), his grandfather called me right from the airport to express his gratitude for imparting such values to the child. This was a truly cherished moment in my life as an educator.
