Guitar Classes Near Me in Kollam

Every guitarist starts with a small set of open chords that form the backbone of the instrument.

• G major: an open chord every beginner should learn early — it sounds full and rich straight away.
• C major: an essential open chord that trains your fretting-hand fingers to stretch and curve correctly.
• D major: easy to form and instantly recognisable, often one of the first chords new players learn.
• A minor: a natural complement to G, C, and D that introduces beginners to minor-key sounds.

With consistent daily practice — and guidance from an experienced teacher — these chords become second nature within weeks.

Getting started on guitar the right way means building solid technique before moving on to complex songs.

• Posture and hand position: proper fretting-hand technique — fingertips on strings, thumb behind the neck — builds the foundation for everything else.
• Open chords first: focus on clean chord shapes and smooth transitions between them before adding strumming patterns.
• Daily short practice sessions: practising for 15–20 minutes every day is far more effective than one long session per week.
• Learning songs you enjoy: your tutor can tailor lessons to the songs and styles you love, making learning both faster and more enjoyable.

Working with an experienced instructor from the start means you avoid the most common beginner mistakes and progress more confidently.
