Find a Drawing Teacher near me in Kolkata

Strong drawing starts with a small set of skills that support everything else.

• Observation means studying shapes, proportions, and light before you put pencil to paper.
• Line control lets you sketch smoothly instead of using shaky, hesitant marks.
• Shading uses light and dark tones to add depth, volume, and realism to a drawing.
• Proportion and perspective stop drawings from looking distorted or flat.

Personalised lessons let you practise these fundamentals at your own pace.

Drawing tutors in Kolkata typically charge ₹549/hr.

This rate varies depending on several factors:

• The level of study (primary, secondary, university)
• The instructor's credentials and track record
• The package you choose (one-off or regular)
• The teaching mode (in-person or video call)

Many tutors offer package discounts for booking multiple lessons.

This technique encourages you to look more and draw less, especially as a beginner.

• The ratio suggests spending around seventy percent of your time looking at the subject and only thirty percent looking at the paper.
• The purpose is to stop you from drawing what you assume instead of what you actually see.
• The application works especially well for life drawing, portraits, and still life studies.
• The benefit shows up quickly once observation becomes a habit rather than an afterthought.

Private lessons make it easier to practise this method with immediate feedback.
