Find a Drawing Teacher near me in Gangtok

Drawing rests on a handful of core skills that every beginner should build first.

• Observation means studying shapes, proportions, and light before you put pencil to paper.
• Line control lets you sketch smoothly instead of using shaky, hesitant marks.
• Shading helps flat shapes look three-dimensional and full of texture.
• Proportion and perspective stop drawings from looking distorted or flat.

Working with an art teacher speeds up your progress on each of these skills.

Drawing tutors in Gangtok typically charge ₹450/hr.

The cost depends on:

• The level of study (primary, secondary, university)
• The tutor's experience and qualifications
• The duration and frequency of lessons
• Where the sessions take place

Many tutors offer package discounts for booking multiple lessons.

The 70/30 rule is a simple technique that sharpens how closely you observe your subject.

• The ratio suggests spending around seventy percent of your time looking at the subject and only thirty percent looking at the paper.
• The purpose is to stop you from drawing what you assume instead of what you actually see.
• The application suits any exercise where accuracy matters more than speed.
• The benefit shows up quickly once observation becomes a habit rather than an afterthought.

An experienced teacher helps you apply the 70/30 rule to your own subjects.
