Hi there! I'm Julie, a native English speaker from Canada with over 20 years of experience in communications and public relations. My career has included leadership roles with some of Canada's top grocery, pharmacy, and beauty retailers, where I specialized in clear, effective communication across diverse audiences. Now based in Florence, Italy, I've transitioned my passion for language into tutoring English. I work with adult learners to help build confidence in speaking, listening, and writing—whether for business, travel, or everyday conversation. If you prefer, we can spend the entire lesson in conversation to improve your speaking confidence and listening comprehension. I always encourage questions and provide clear, patient explanations.

I bring this expertise into lessons, helping you express yourself clearly and naturally. Plus, as a current language learner myself (studying Italian), I empathize with the challenges of mastering a new language and tailor my support accordingly.
