About Sarah
I am a harpist, composer, and educator with a deep passion for music and over 15 years of experience in both performance and teaching. I graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and since then, I have had the privilege of performing at some of the most renowned venues across the country, including the Usher Hall, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Stirling Castle, and The Balmoral. I have also had the honor of performing at government events at Bute House and for royalty and dignitaries on special occasions.
My musical versatility allows me to perform on both the concert harp and the traditional Clarsach, with a repertoire that spans classical, jazz, pop, and film music. As a composer, I have written works for the Budapest National String Orchestra, won the Scottish National Heritage Composition Prize, and created music for BBC Scotland. I also regularly perform at weddings and private events, where I aim to bring a sense of elegance and emotion to every occasion.
As an educator, I have been teaching harp, Clarsach, and music theory for over 15 years. I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their musical goals, whether they are beginners or preparing for exams. I am proud to have a 100% pass rate for my students taking ABRSM and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Traditional Music exams. I believe in fostering a supportive and encouraging environment, helping each student grow at their own pace and develop their unique musical voice.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive recognition, including eight nominations for the Wedding Industry Awards, with four wins and two high commendations. Whether I am performing or teaching, I always strive to create meaningful, memorable experiences through music.

I would love to teach you and help you explore the joy of music! With 15 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding students through a variety of styles, from classical and pop to jazz and film scores. I take pride in having a 100% pass rate for both ABRSM and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Traditional Music exams, and I also enjoy teaching music theory.
I believe in tailoring lessons to each student’s interests, whether you’re learning for fun or preparing for exams. I love taking the lead from my students to ensure they’re excited about what they’re learning, making every lesson enjoyable and rewarding. I’m passionate about sharing my excitement for the harp, and I truly believe that lessons should be a fun and fulfilling way to develop your skills.
