About Linda
Hello!!! I am Linda and I’m a patient, experienced, and fun Chinese online tutor from Taiwan. I love helping people all over the world learn Chinese in the most fun way, and teaching them the most fascinating parts of Chinese and Taiwanese cultures:)
I have a qualification (TCSOL and EDI) teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and a master's degree in Translation and Interpreting. I have taught hundreds of foreign students Chinese here in Taipei and online for over 8 years. I always take a student-centered approach to tutoring and try to make each lesson a valuable and enjoyable experience. If you’re new to Chinese, don’t worry, I’ve taught many students from complete beginners - and we’ll start with the basics.
In addition to working as a Chinese teacher, I’m an artist, philosopher, writer and a bit of an entrepreneur - I'm currently creating a self-learning Chinese picture book for western people who want to learn Chinese in the most fun and creative way!

How I structure my lessons:
1. I create my own teaching materials to cover useful grammar and phrases. To practice these grammar topics and phrases, I tailor the examples and vocabulary to your interests - for example if you love some specific films we can use examples with their characters - that way it’s more fun.
2. I will take notes of the vocabulary you use often on Quizlet (online flashcards) in every lesson.
3. We will study the vocabulary lists from the textbook, and I will ask you to make sentences using each word in order to practice.
4. Dialogue creation/Dialogue adaptation
We will read the dialogue in the textbook first, and then will adapt/change it to make our own dialogue by changing/varying at least one word in each sentence.
5. I don’t follow the textbook order strictly. I will ask you to choose the topics that interest you most, and we will study these first
