About Tulika
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Tulika Bhuyan, a trained vocalist and vocal coach from Assam with over 15+ years of teaching experience.
I specialize in Borgeet (Assamese devotional classical music) and have received formal training in Indian classical vocal music along with dedicated learning in Borgeet tradition.
MY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
I hold a Master’s degree in Music (Vocal) and Nipun certification from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth.
Also,
I hold a degree in 'Gayan' (Borgeet) from Sangeet Satra Pariksha Parishad, Guwahati and received structured training in Borgeet (Satriya Gayan tradition), which forms a core part of my teaching.
With over a decade of teaching experience, I have guided students of different age groups in vocal music, especially in Assamese devotional and traditional forms.
I love introducing this beautiful art form to beginners and young learners in a simple, enjoyable, and meaningful way.

My classes are specially designed for beginners and children, focusing on building a strong and comfortable foundation on 'Borgeet'.
Borgeet, literally meaning "celestial songs" or "great songs" in Assamese, are lyrical, devotional compositions created by 15th-16th century saints Srimanta Sankardeva and Madhavdeva. They are integral to Assamese Neo-Vaishnavite culture, specifically dedicated to Lord Krishna, and are performed in a classical, ragas-based style, often in community prayer houses called Satras and Namghars.
