About Mattia

Ciao! My name is Mattia, I’m from the Northeastern part of Italy (near Venice!). I fluently speak 5 languages and have a strong international background in communication, teaching, and cross-cultural exchange. Over the years, I’ve worked and studied across Italy, the UK, and beyond, which has given me a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life and adapt my teaching to different needs and goals. With a degree in Communications & Digital Marketing from the University of Padova and a Master’s in International Business & Management from the University of Westminster, I bring both academic rigor and real-world experience to my lessons. Professionally, I’ve managed high-profile international accounts, collaborated with global teams, and delivered results in dynamic, multicultural environments. Alongside this, I’ve always been passionate about sharing my language and culture helping learners discover not just Italian words, but the Italian way of life. What you can expect from me as a tutor is professionalism, patience, and a tailored approach. I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and supported at every stage, whether you’re starting from zero or aiming to refine your skills to native fluency.

I believe in interactive, student-centered learning. My goal is to make Italian not only understandable but also enjoyable and practical. - Communicative Approach: I focus on speaking and listening from the very beginning, so students build confidence using Italian in real contexts. - Grammar in Context: Instead of overwhelming students with rules, I integrate grammar naturally into conversations, texts, and exercises. - Immersive Practice: Lessons include role plays, short dialogues, cultural notes, and multimedia resources (songs, articles, videos) to reflect real-life Italian. - Personalized Learning: I adapt to each student’s pace, interests, and goals whether that’s preparing for an exam, traveling, or achieving fluency. A Typical Lesson Plan (adaptable to level) - Warm-up (5–10 min): Quick conversation, review of previous material or a fun icebreaker. - New Content (15–20 min): Introduction of vocabulary, grammar, or expressions through examples and guided discovery. - Practice (15–20 min): Interactive exercises, role plays, or listening/reading comprehension activities. - Application (10–15 min): Free speaking or writing task, connecting the lesson topic to real-life contexts. - Wrap-up (5–10 min): Recap key points, assign short homework/practice, preview next lesson. Who My Lessons Are For - Beginners (Level 0): Starting from scratch with the alphabet, pronunciation, and basic survival phrases. - Intermediate Learners (A2–B1): Strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and conversational ability. - Advanced Students (B2–C1): Refining fluency, idioms, and academic/professional Italian. - Near-Native Level (C2): Focus on subtle nuances, regional varieties, literature, and advanced cultural insights. - All Ages & Goals: Whether you’re a student, professional, or language enthusiast, I tailor the lessons to your objectives (travel, exams, career, or personal growth). What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor - Flexible Teaching Style - Cultural Integration - From Zero to Native
