About Swapan
Graduated with Honors in Chemistry, worked for decades in the photo depts. of London ad. agencies, design grps, running own studio, worked for 6 years as the chief in house photographer of a well known women's weekly magazine in Mumbai, ran own studio for years, a popular faculty member of very well known academy of photography for 8 years, teaching portraiture, fashion and beauty photography.

I do not teach! I share my passion of my experiences in photography, beginning with the study of light and lighting as I believe that there is no photography without light. This includes studying different kinds of light sources, shapers, etc. How to conceptualize and light up subjects, their treatments, camera positions,etc. Some post production of the images to create the final image as conceptually visualized.
Students are encouraged to think methodically while going about lighting a set-up. Also show with examples and reasons what works, and also what does not. This enables each person to establish his own style.
