About Francesca
I am a positive and passionate girl, studying at the University of Bath (second year). I am from Italy, where I studied languages as GCSEs and A-Levels, becoming fluent in Spanish, English and French and building strong communication and grammar skills. I love studying, and I am passionate about travelling and dancing. Ideally, I would like to become a law practitioner.
I have experience in tutoring kids (aged 5-16), since I did it during my studies in Italy, as well as during an aupair experience in Spain.

I believe kids and teenagers are more likely to learn if they feel comfortable and if they like what they are doing. That's why I always try to establish a good relationship with my students, getting to know them from the beginning, and making them feel comfortable with me. According to the goals each student wants to achieve, I focus on different aspects. In regards to languages, sometimes students want to improve their oral communications skills, so I prepare classes in which we can effectively talk and work on fluency. I generally speak the required language during my classes, translating then in English what I have said, as for the kid to get used to the language. I also help doing homework, explaining the rules behind the exercises, making sure the student understands what he's doing.
