About Mia
Hi there! My name is Mia and I am a 2nd year university student in Bristol, UK. I have always been passionate about teaching and sharing my skills with others from a young age. On top of academic tutoring I have also temporarily assisted gymnastic classes, ran private gymnastics classes for my local community and assisted in teaching guitar to some of my friends and family! My passion for teaching roots from my belief of the power of education, especially when it can be fun, encouraging and something that children look forward to. I find great joy standing by students as they discover their potential and gain confidence on a subject.

My lessons are aimed at primary aged students typically ages 5-11. Lessons tend to last 1 hour in order for the most beneficial learning. I have been tutoring primary aged English and maths since 2022 and have graduated with an International Baccalaureate qualification. I like to provide a gamified approach to lessons in order to engage the student and have them feel motivated about learning during the lesson. Learning through games encourages active participation, enhances retention and can be tailored to the specific student's needs. As lessons proceed, lesson plans will be adapted and tailored to the student's specific needs and areas of improvement.
